2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show
The Sanctuary Cove show is an iconic event on the boat show calendar and boating enthusiasts travel from interstate to attend. Well most of the time. 2021 was impacted by COVID restrictions. Tickets are now on sale and visitors can upgrade to a VIP Pass for that extra luxury experience. It includes entry to the Lagoon Lounge and all it has to offer.
While the exhibitors are the main attraction, there’s plenty more to keep visitors entertained at the event. Attractions include Paul Bur on the main stage, Berkely fishing demos, an area especially for the kids, the bream shoot out and a display of specialty vessels such as the Queensland Police Boat.
The exhibitors listing is impressive, as always and expected! Prior to attending, visitors can check out what companies will be there and where. Knowing exactly where to locate that business that you are interested in purchasing from can ensure you head straight to their exhibit.
Yacht and boat brands displaying include Horizon, Maritimo, Jeanneau, Makoboats, Princess Yachts, Riviera, Sunseeker, Windcraft Yachts, Zodiac Inflatables, Platinum Pontoon Boats and many more. In addition to actual vessel displays, exhibitors cover a wide range of boating equipment, gear and services. Catch up with marine engine and outboard motor manufacturers, tech and electronic products, safety equipment suppliers as well as marina operators and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard.
Show Planning and Logistics
Being organised ahead can ensure a more leisurely experience and that’s what boating is all about. The location is just a short distance from the Gold Coast which is packed with plenty of fantastic accommodation to suit all budgets.
Parking on site is limited and must be pre-paid. It’s advisable to use the free shuttle service. It will be operating from Movie World and Dreamworld Park’n’Ride. Shuttles start at 7.30am for early starters.
Bus route 711 can be taken to get you right to the show.
Those travelling via cab or ride share can be dropped right at the show entry.
Why not arrive by water! Ferries will be running from Coomera Shores to the site or take a water taxi from your accommodation.
If arriving on your own boat you’ll need to drop your anchor at Coomera River or near the site. Then via VHF Channel 73 contact Volunteer Marine Rescue Southport for a ride in return for a donation of a gold coin.
For a celebrity-style arrival, take a helicopter from Marina Mirage.
