The Fremantle Boat Show and Seafood Festival is presented as a showcase of big boats and sailing vessels in the fishing boat harbour and along the Freo Esplanade.
This is a massive celebration of both boating and the great seafood that Western Australia has to offer. As well as local produce, visitors will also be able to celebrate WA’s wines, boutique beverages and craft beers. There’s plenty to suit the entire family including demos of fishing and cooking the catch.

Boats on Display
So what can buyers expect to see on display in the harbour? A great selection of big boats from leading manufacturers and dealers include:- Mira Marine, One Brokerage, JTM Elite, Caribou Charters, R Marine Perth, Multihull, Sirocco Marine and Seakeeper.
Trailerboats are the vessel of choice for many fishers chasing that great WA seafood and buyers will have a great choice of the latest boats available through some great sources. Attractions at Fremantle Boat Show
The festival of seafood is a major part of this event and the food and cooking attractions are sure to attract plenty of attention. The Seafood Conversation Stage is set to be the main one. This is set-up on a stage, with Don Hancey, the WA Food Ambassador heading up the action.
Don will be talking with a collection of the best chefs in Fremantle as they cook some of their favourite seafood dishes. Visitors not only get to listen to these experts but pick-up some handy seafood cooking tips from the demonstrations. And taste some of the creations.
An important focus will be educating visitors on the state’s sustainable fishing practices. The stage runs daily and visitors can check the specific timings at the event website.
Seafood is great cooked on the BBQ but some can struggle with getting it right. Don’t worry, Bart Beek, a celebrity chef with impressive credentials, will be doing BBQ demos to show how to prepare seafood perfectly on the BBQ. Bart’s appearance will be between 11am and 3pm each day.
