Sanctuary Cove Boat Show is an iconic event over four days, 22-25 May on Queensland’s Gold Coast with an impressive line-up of boats, exhibitors and displays. We posted an earlier ‘alert’ news item on the event, but a show of this size and significance is worthy of further reminders. Reminders for visitors and especially prospective buyers, to get organised with tickets, travel bookings and especially their marine finance.
Visitors to the show have the chance to win amazing prizes, just by purchasing their general admission ticket or entry to the Lagoon Beach Club, subject to the T&C’S. Prizes include a Great Barrier Reef escape and gold and silver bars. In the latest news, Corey Rattray-Wood, the organiser’s Head of Events, said the event was thrilled to be introducing more immersive and luxury visitor experiences and launching new products from leading marine manufacturers.
Visitors can expect to see over 760 boats on displays, more than 330 exhibitors, and over 2,500 products. Plenty of reasons for boating enthusiasts and especially buyers looking for their next vessel to get their ticket for this iconic event.
Sanctuary Cove Boat Show Ticket and Experience Options
Tickets must be purchased online at the show website and a $5 discount on the $35 plus booking fee per day general admission price is available for purchases made by 7 May. Tickets to the Lagoon Beach Club experience are also available. For the $379 plus booking fee per day ticket, visitors enjoy champagne at the Veuve Clicquot Sun Club, other beverages, all day grazing, DJs and live entertainment from a prime position overlooking the marina.
The show is open from 9am to 5pm each day.
What’s On at the Show
Fishing expert Paul Burt hosts the Main Stage activities with advice and tips on fishing and cooking. Another expert fisher, Brett Thompson, will be in action at the Berley Supertank. This is a clear fish tank where visitors can see Brett demonstrate different fishing techniques and lures. Visitors can try their own angling skills at the Live Bream Shootout with Paul Burt. Great prizes to be won, so add this activity to your plan for your visit.
The sea trials will be a highlight for many visitors, especially those keen to place their new boat order. Visitors can get aboard certain craft for a trial run with experts showing how the vessels perform on the water. The trials extend to luxury craft this year.
Demos of exciting new watercraft will be happening on the water and there will be plenty of vessels on the marina to inspect. The complete exhibitor guide is yet to be released, but the biggest names in the marine industry such as Maritimo, Riviera, Horizon and others are expected to be on display.
Maritimo Launch News
One of the biggest names in luxury motor yachts, Maritimo, is set to launch two new models at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show – the M50 and the S50. The company has been refining the vessels in preparation for the show launch to ensure prospective buyers can enjoy the full experience of what these new models have to offer.
The Maritimo team says that customers will notice the refinements that have been made on previous models. The team decided not to include huge horsepower on the model but are confident the Volvo Penta D13-800 engines will suit most customers. Pre-show, keen buyers can contact Maritimo to discuss details and arrange an inspection time at the show.
