This fishing competition is being held over the weekend of 23-24 November, with competitors able to choose at what time and on what day over those two days they want to compete. Fishing can be enjoyed from the water or from the shore. If competitors don’t have a vessel of their own, organisers have details of charters and locations on the event website.
The event is a catch and release competition. Competitors catch their fish, take the photo to submit as their entry, and release the fish and try for another. The species that competitors will be fishing for are the most popular found on the waterway – whiting, tailor flathead and bream.
Great prizes are on offer. As well as the prizes, there will be 4 special $25,000 tagged fish will be released in the lake, awaiting competitors.
