The Boating Industry of Australia (BIA) has announced that there will be a special focus around sailing at the 2023 Sydney Boat Show. The BIA welcomes this focus, noting that there around 175,000 people in Australia that participate regularly in sailing. The focus at the Show will cover a wide range of sailing activities from club sailing at a local level through to ocean yachts and will include a Discover Sailing and Paddling Hub. At the hub, visitors can enjoy live discussions involved some well-known identities in Australian sailing.

Sydney Boat Show – Sailing Hub
Two of the sailing identities who will be hosting interviews in the sailing hub at the event are Nic Douglass and Lisa Blair. Nic is a multiple world champion, has impressive credentials in match racing and multiple Australian championship titles in a number of sailing classes.
Lisa is a record holder in the fast sail circumnavigating Antarctica and holds the honour of the first female to complete a solo, unassisted, non-stop around Australia journey using complete eco-power. Also attending will bet the Australian Women’s Amercias Cup team.
The hub will include plenty of attractions, information on training and skills, so a must-visit for anyone looking to get into sailing or up their ability.

The Sydney International Boat Show will include a plethora of boats on display including a great line-up of yachts. Big names on display include Bavaria, Beneteau, Defour, Lagoon, HH Catamarans and many more.

- Catana 50 which is described as setting new standards for blue water cruising luxury.
- Elan E6, a modern design with quality finishes and very special design.
- Tofinou 9.7 being displayed by Ensign Yachts. A hand-built yacht from France .
- Bavaroa C50, also from Ensign Yachts which is a 50’ with a stunning silhouette.
- Grand Soleil LC46 and 44 being shown by Sydney Marine Brokerage is a show premiere.
- Lagoon SIXTY5 from TMG Yacht, a 65’ catamaran also on debut in Sydney.
- Dufour 37 on display from The Yacht Sails Co. is billed as ideal for long sailing getaways.
- A range of innovative sailing inflatables from Minicat Australia.
Sydney Boat Show Event Details
If you’re yet to get organised to attend the Sydney International Boat Show, here are the ‘need to know’ details:-
- 3-6 August, International Convention Centre and Cockle Bay Marina, Sydney.
- 10am to 7pm Thursday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm Sunday.
- Tickets must be purchased online as there is no box office at the event.
- Early bird tickets from $25 per day available until 26 July.
- Children under 16 free with paying adult.
Securing a Yacht Loan
